A beautifully modernised home, designed with a distinctly calming feel, retaining much of the charm and character of its former hop harvesting past.

  • Countryside views
  • Extensive gardens
  • Plenty of walking routes nearby
  • Sleeps 10
Inside, its 5 bedrooms are beautifully decorated and make the most of its tall pointy roof space to give lofty ceilings that reveal original beams and more quirky corners. The open plan kitchen with its range cooker, and fabulous island, will bring everyone round to gather in style especially with the oak framed glass extension which opens up on summer days (and nights) so you can step out directly into the garden. The cosy lounge with its warming log burner feels very luxurious whilst the TV den ensures there's always an alternative place for toddler TV or teenage gaming.
Spring and Summer days will undoubtedly be well spent in the extensive garden. Spend your days relaxing, whilst taking in the outstanding views, whether that’s with a G&T in hand on the patio or lunch al-fresco together with a feast put together by a local chef, followed by a mid-afternoon competitive garden game on the lawn or in the games room.
Beyond the summer house and garden wall there's an orchard where Kentish apple trees bear fruit and a few steps further is access to the ancient Bedgebury forest and pinetum. Bedgebury Oast offers easy access to the paths, and cycling, running and walking tracks that open up the vast space whatever the weather. It's just a couple of miles or so from Goudhurst village with its famous duck pond, traditional pubs and views over the High Weald.
