Seaweed and their Secrets Exhibition

A delightful look at the sheer variety of seaweeds around the Kent coast and their sometimes surprising uses in everyday life.
This exhibition has been created by Ian Tittley (Natural History Museum & Kent Field Club) with help from the Thanet Coast Project and NEKMPA Coastal Wardens.

The Thanet Coast’s chalk reef provides a perfect substrate for algae communities. Join Ian Tittley to find out everything you would like to know about seaweed, their uses and properties on this outdoor talk. Please wear appropriate footwear suitable for walking on the chalk reef & rockpools (eg Wetshoes or Wellington boots). Suitable for adults (14+) Suggested online donation of £3 to Thanet Coast Project.
