Shemomedjamo - Maidstone's Multi Cultural Food and Drink Festival
25th August - 27th August 2018
You know that feeling when you can’t stop eating because everything tastes so good? Welcome to Shemomedjamo, the festival named after the Georgian phrase for doing just that. Shemomedjamo, or if its easier to pronounce, Maidstone Multicultural Food Festival (MMCFF) is a chance to dine around the world, be part of our global village and celebrate multicultural cohesion in Maidstone and Kent.
Returning for its 2nd year on the August bank holiday weekend from 25th -27th August ,in the stunning surroundings of Mote Park, this free event will feature a high quality programme of world music, dance, art and craft and will attract a diverse population from across the county and beyond. With the melting pot of cultures we have in Maidstone and across the county, we are looking forward to music and food from across the globe using local produce wherever possible. From Ouagadougou to Oban, Warsaw to Weligama, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of an exciting event in Kent’s calendar.
A creative and intelligent programme of music will offer something a little different, watch this spce for more information.
