Delicious local produce to accompany your stay

Are you staying in one of Kent’s cosy self-catering cottages, glamping in a luxury Tepee or camping in one of our many picturesque campsites. Why not start your day with a Kent Breakfast Hamper?

As the Garden of England, Kent’s abundance of fresh, local produce is already well known. Even Henry VIII himself thought our fruits fit for a king, planting an apple and fruit orchard here in Teynham right back in 1533, later giving rise to our ‘East Kent fruit belt’.

Even today Kent is still a natural larder of great local produce. From the country’s first community orchard and the largest producer of English wines, to Brogdale’s National Fruit Collection and the Dover Sole and Whitstable oysters of our coast, Kent can still boast of a garden packed with delights.

We currently have more than 700 businesses and 20 farmers markets supporting Kent’s local produce and we want everyone visiting our garden to enjoy all that we have to offer - and what better way to do so than with a great Kent Breakfast Hamper.

It might be sweet and chunky jam, homemade muesli or farm-pressed apple juice. It might even be fresh eggs, award-winning sausages, our finest cuts of lean bacon, or all of the above and more – whatever it is, many of Kent’s accommodation providers commit to sourcing high quality, local produce. If you’re camping in our garden or using self-catering accommodation, a tasty Kent Breakfast Hamper packed with local food can be organised for your stay.

If you can resist the temptation to wolf it all down yourself, they also make great gifts for your ‘foody’ friends or even just a reminder of the time you’ve spent out and about in Kent.
