It's time to step out of winter hibernation and get ready for the Easter break. The days are longer, the daffodils are blooming, and you've got two weeks of quality time with the family (and a mountain of chocolate eggs) ahead of you.

If you’re looking for ideas to keep the kids busy, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite Easter holiday events, so you can rest assured that they will be so busy having fun, they will never notice you eating all of the sweet treats beind their back (at least that’s the theory)!

Chatham Historic Dockyard

Historic hunts at the dockyard

If you fancy a hunt with a little nautical adventure, then head on over to Historic Dockyard Chatham for the ‘Eggtastic Easter egg hunt’. You’ll need to put your best food forward, with clues all across the 80 acre site, all the while taking in some sensational sea-themed history!

Penshurst Place

Find the rabbit

If an Easter egg hunt isn’t enough to get you to hop on outdoors, then why not take the kids out on some quests? Penshurst Place has a secret rabbit hiding in the garden and the kids must discover clues to reveal its identity. Once you've solved the mystery, spend the afternoon getting artistic with Easter-themed children's crafts, and don't miss out on the chance to stroll around the magnificent gardens.

Hever Castle

Quests at Hever Castle

Not only is Hever Castle putting on a quest to find the Lindt chocolate bunny, but craft workshops for Easter bonnets are sure to keep the kids busy all day. For the quizzical, an Easter quiz in the castle around the history of the holiday will keep little brains whirring during the Easter break.

Quizzes and quests aplenty

Leeds Castle

Take on the challenge at Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle looks beautiful at this time of year, so why not spend an afternoon enjoying its majesty? Across the Easter break, the castle is putting on an exciting quest around the grounds with a sweet treat to reward the seekers. The site is perfect for grown ups too, so make a day of it and let the little ones run off steam in the adventure playground while you drink in the views.

Meet new little lambs and goat kids alongside calves, Easter chicks and even piglets. If you haven’t had your fill of the chocolate eggs yet, don’t fear, as an Easter Bunny will be making the rounds at the farm!
