A stay at Brissenden Camping is not your typical camping trip. The campsite is set amongst the vines of our small, family-run vineyard. With vines on three sides of the site, the fourth, eastern side is lined with oaks, through which there are views over a gorgeous field usually occupied by sheep. The grass site is on a very gentle slope, and is set well back from the road. We have laid out four generous plots, suitable for large tents, with plenty of room to run about. Parking is up by the house, where you access the site, so it is an extremely peaceful spot.
Brissenden Vineyard is situated just outside the village of East Sutton, which lies between the larger villages of Headcorn and Sutton Valence in rural Kent. It is just a 10-minute drive from Leeds Castle and close to many other wonderful attractions. If you are curious to know what it takes to run a vineyard, you can book a private tour and tasting.
Down at the campsite there is a communal firepit including a tripod grill for you to cook on, as well as picnic benches and a kitchen shelter. Lit by solar lights at night, the path up to the shower, toilet and kitchen, is a scenic 150m through the vines. We have a function room and table-tennis table available for hire and can arrange for BBQ or breakfast packs from the local butchers and bakers. We can of course also supply chilled wines and sparkling cider from our cellar door. Well-behaved dogs are most welcome.
Bookings are for groups only – so you and your friends have the vineyard to yourselves.
