Shepherds Hut at Tenterden Trout Waters

Our Shepherds Hut is set in our sheep field on our family farm & fishery in Tenterden - an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking our Fly Fishery with amazing views across the valley to Tenterden Church. It is equipped with a king-size bed, comfortable wicker chairs to enjoy the view from inside. Coffee tables, a woodburner to keep you cosy in Winter and electric heater. Coffee/tea/milk provided.

During your stay you will have the full use of the Fishery Lodge with a kitchen, 2 ring hob, dishwasher, wc/shower, lakeside balcony, dining and lounge area to relax.The Lodge is only a short walk from the Shepherds Hut.  Camp fire, BBQ, table/chairs and sun loungers are all provided where you can enjoy the quiet countryside and views that will surround you. Our Hut/Lodge provides a very relaxing space for our guests. It’s off grid, we just want you to enjoy the nature that surrounds you.

You are welcome to enjoy our farm and fishery and go for walks and try and discover our Kingfishers which live on our lakes . We are only 15 minutes walk from the Hut to Tenterden’s vibrant tree lined High Street with fabulous independent shops, pubs, cafes and hotels. Chapel Down Vineyard & Gusbourne are only 20 minutes drive away to experience wine tours and all the great wines that Kent produces.

We can even offer you the experience of learning to Fly Fish at our Fishery – we have 3 Lakes on the farm, it’s always fun to learn a new skill set - discover more on our website under the Tuition Heading. Tenterden has much to offer with the Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway where you can catch the train to Bodium, take a picnic and enjoy Bodium Castle and Gardens.

It is a bustling Market Town and it well known for being a destination town for it’s great shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants.  Rye and Camber Sands are only 30 minutes away where you can enjoy beach walks. Rye is historic (1066) with its cobbled streets and citadel and wonderful to potter around with great pubs, shops and restaurants.
