The new Carl Freedman Gallery is housed inside the former Thanet Press building, previously a 1960s commercial establishment, spanning 10,000 square foot.
The conversion includes three gallery spaces on the lower floor which are open to the public during exhibitions. Carl Freedman Gallery, once based in London’s East End, plan to take full advantage of the opportunities the new space provides.
The gallery’s future programme will include large-scale solo presentations of their artists as well as more expansive curated shows; see website for exhibition details.
The gallery is a short walk from Margate train station. Admission is free to all visitors.
