With its weatherboarding, large terrace and hanging baskets, this 15th Century Penshurst favourite is a handsome sight from outside – the perfect place for alfresco dining and relaxed drinking. With a cosy bar area stylish dining room and private dining room, it’s just as nice inside. Throughout the pub, original timber beams, an open fireplace, exposed brickwork and neutrally painted walls create a wonderful atmosphere.
The bar area is a delight, with low beams and a beautiful copper-topped bar. Behind this, you'll find an excellent range of beers, including local, hand-pumped ales. There's also an exceptional wine list, much of which is available by the glass.
