Celebrate Christmas with our traditional festive market and sparkling lights in the medieval city and cathedral grounds
One of the most magical festive shopping experiences in the country - Canterbury's traditional Christmas Market will open on 15th November to 24th December 2024.
Our market comprises traditional wooden huts in the German-style, selling incredible gifts and treats, along with stalls churning out great food, warm and cold drinks, beers and mulled wine, German sausages, and more! All adorned with beautiful lights.
The market will be dotted all over the city including along the Whitefriars Shopping Centre, where you can also shop with high street brands and see pretty snowfalls.
And for the first time in more than 150 years, part of the market will also be hosted inside the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral as well as across the medieval city centre!
There will be 150 stalls in total across the city, as well as 3 Christmas Trees in the city centre and a further 8 Christmas trees within the cathedral grounds. Wow!
