All Aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine, everyone’s favorite #1 blue engine, is coming to town and we’re celebrating big this year for 80 years of Thomas & Friends™. Day Out With Thomas: The Party Tour will be stopping at SPA VALLEY RAILWAY in TUNBRIDGE WELLS on 26 and 27 April and 3, 4, 5 May 2025. Day Out With Thomas is a fun-filled family event that takes place at Heritage Railways across the world. Each ticket includes a train ride with a life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine, a real steam engine, as well as access to a full day of activities for all to enjoy. Activities include live entertainment with Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty & Dusty, a chance to say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, garden games, Thomas & Friends character hunt, giveaways for every child and much more.
Thomas & Friends marks its 80th anniversary this year, celebrating eight decades of entertaining children and families with its timeless railway adventures. Since its debut in 1945, the beloved franchise continues to captivate young fans with new and exciting adventures. Special birthday celebrations on tour will feature family-friendly activities including a magician and balloon modeller, face painting and a chance to decorate your party hat and birthday card for Thomas, fans can even take commemorative photos with a festive Thomas adorned in confetti.
WHAT: Day Out With Thomas: The Party Tour highlights: • Friends and families can take a Thomas train ride of approximately 20-25 minutes each way, with a break at Eridge station for 15 minutes to allow photographs of/with Thomas to be taken. Trains are pulled by a full-sized Thomas the Tank Engine locomotive • Activities include: o Live entertainment and sing-a-longs with Sodor Station Sweepers, Rusty & Dusty o The opportunity to meet Mavis o Say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway o Photo opportunities throughout the event, including with Thomas himself! o Find the Thomas & Friends characters hidden around the railway to reveal a message o Visit the Play Pod to play with your favourite Thomas & Friends toys and books • Thomas & Friends giveaways for every child • Gift shop on-site with Thomas & Friends products for fans of all ages • Food and drinks available on-site for purchase WHEN: 26 and 27 April and 3, 4, 5 May 2025
