Saturday 10th
Free Music Saturday – Live music in the Broadway Sheerness from 10am to 4pm. Featuring “Lookin Back”, Katherine Preston, Nostalgia & Others. There will also be Refreshment Stalls and Others. Get comfy – bring your own Chair.
Classic Car Show – There will be lots of Classic Vehicles for you to view along the High Street from 10am to 4pm.
Sunset Seaside Stroll – The Annual 5-mile sponsored walk from the Leas Minster to Queenborough in aid of Cancer Research. Starts at 8pm. To register (£5 up to Aug 3rd then £10) contact Lee on 07932211083
Sunday 11th
Steam Train Rides - Take a Steam Train ride with the “Sheppey Miniature Engineering and Model Society” at Barton’s Point from 11am to 4pm. Rides are £1 per person. Then take a ride on the Toy Town Roundabout or try out the test your strength machine and enjoy an Ice Cream or Candy Floss.
Crabbing at the Boat House – “Crabbing Competition” at the “Barton’s Point Boathouse Café” at 12:30pm. £6 entry fee (Crab Line & Bait included).
Prize for 1st & 2nd place.
Tuesday 12th
Donkey Rides - This popular attraction returns to Sheerness at the Beachfields sandpit along with a children’s Mini Funfair & lots of other attractions. The rides will be £3 per person (Weight & Height restrictions will apply). Event runs from 11am to 4pm.
Wednesday 14th
Rock Pooling – From 11am to 2pm Free events including Rock Pooling, Beachcombing, Scavenger Hunts and Clay Art Workshops run by the “Medway and Swale Estuary Partnership” on the seafront behind the Ice Cream Kiosk by the RNLI Lifeguards. “Birdwise” will also be there with their powerful telescope to look at wildlife as well as other stalls.
Five Beach Litter Pick – From 3pm to 5pm The beaches at Garrison Point, The Blue Flag Beach, Catholic Church Cove, Marine Parade and the Ship on Shore will all be Litter picked at the same time. Castle Writers Group – Open Mic Evening at the “Pilots’ Rest” Micro Pub, 193 High Street, Sheerness, ME12 1UJ. An evening of Poems, Stories & Prose from 7pm to 9pm. All are welcome to take part or just enjoy the evening.
Thursday 15th
Floating Ink Workshop – at Rose Cottage Museum from 1pm to 3pm. Join artist Nicole Mollett at a fun and easy workshop to create a monoprint using a marbling technique called “suminagashi” (floating ink) using sea water. This Free workshop is suitable for ages 8 years and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Rose Cottage is wheelchair accessible via the garden area where the workshop will take place.

Friday 16th
Punch and Judy – Mr Punch & his wife Judy plus a host of other friends will all be performing throughout the day accompanied by Puppet Master Professor James. There will also be lots of other fun things to do in Beachfields Gardens by the swimming pool from 11am to 4pm.
Sea Shanties – The groups “Lowering the Tone” & “Upping the Shanty” invite you to a Workshop followed by a concert at the New Dockyard Church from 6pm to 8:30pm. Come along and learn fun & Fabulous Shanties and other songs about the sea. Tickets are £10 (plus booking fees) from www.islandworks.co.uk/shanty.

Talk at the Sheppey Little Theatre - Join Flo McEwan for an evening of adventure as she gives a potted history of the Maunsell Sea Forts and showcases some of the incredible images, she has taken on her many visits to the towers. Hear about her obsession with abandoned buildings and her love of the forts as she tells us how she came to spend her birthday being winched off a boat and up onto one of the 7-storey wartime gun towers in an evening dress and tiara.
Tickets are £5 on the door. Doors open 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
Saturday 17th
Sheerness Carnival Parade – The Carnival sets off from New Road at 4pm. The route takes in Broad Street, Railway Road, Millennium Way, Trinity Road, Broadway, Alma Road, Cavour Road, Invicta Road, High Street (past the clock tower) and back to Railway Road for dispersal.
Pedestrian entries, decorated bicycles, mobility scooters, cars and trailers are encouraged to join in. Free entry.
To take part, email sheernesstownteam@mail.com for an entry form There will be rolling road closures for the procession. The Broadway will be closed to traffic on the day for Sheppey FM and charity stalls.
Sheerness Grand Firework Display – at 9pm will be the Free fireworks display on the seafront at Beachfields Park (by the sandpit), Fun Fair & Fireworks are provided & arranged by the Holland Family.
