Day 1 - Stop 1 - Penshurst Place - AM - 2 hours
Start off this trip at Penshurst Place, which has a rich 700 year history. Throughout the year the garden pops with colour from tulips to roses, all perfectly reflected in the ponds and framed by perfectly cut hedges. Inside, Henry VIII's former hunting lodge is a picturesque masterpiece with antique furniture and tapestries.

Day 1 - Stop 2 - Hever Castle - PM - 3 hours
Just a 15 minute drive across Kentish countryside is Hever Castle, which equally has an impressive 700 year history. With royal connections a plenty, most notably Anne Boleyn, the double moated castle has a rich decor, with panelled rooms, tapestries and Anne Boleyn's prayer books. Outside, there are 125 acres of gardens featuring grottoes and fountains and a splendid Rhododendron Walk.

Day 2 - Stop 1 - Chartwell - AM - 3 hours
Once the home of famed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, this country home is brim full of historic artefacts and wonder - from Churchill's own paintings to the residence's own cat called Jock, which has been the request of his family since the 1960's. The gardens below the house include a formal rose garden, apple orchard and wildflower meadow.
