Both Daytime and Twilight tickets are available, with a range of activities including visits to Father Christmas, fun fairground rides, shopping, dining, and exploring the maze and play areas. As night falls, the castle grounds and lake are transformed by stunning illuminations, adding to the wonder of the season.

Celebrate Christmas at Port Lympne

Christmas at Canterbury Cathedral

Canterbury Cathedral is set to host a range of festive services and events this season. From traditional carol services led by the world-famous Cathedral Choir to the new Teatime Carol services, there's something for everyone. Highlights include the return of the Festival of Carols with a living nativity (donkey included!) and the free life-size nativity scene open weekdays from 25th November to 20th December.

Gravesend Christmas Event and Light Switch On

Kick off the festive season in style at the Gravesend Christmas Event and Light Switch On! Saturday 16th November, 1.30 - 5.30pm, Join the fun in Gravesend Town Centre for an afternoon packed with festive entertainment, leading up to the Big Light Switch On with The Mayor and the cast of this year's panto, Jack & the Beanstalk.

At Ightham Mote, immerse yourself in a Tudor-style Christmas from 23 November to 5 January (closed 24 & 25 December). Explore the 700-year-old moated manor, with its historic Great Hall, roaring fires, and hand-painted Tudor Chapel decked out for a festive mass. There are late-night openings with traditional carols, and visitors can enjoy trails, workshops, and performances by local choirs.

Chartwell – Churchill’s Champagne Christmas

From 23 November to 23 December 2024, visitors to Chartwell can experience a festive celebration in honour of Sir Winston Churchill’s 150th birthday. Chartwell is decorated to evoke the glamour of the 1930s, with golden garlands, twinkling lights, and crackling fires. Highlights include a special birthday cake for Churchill, festive music, and sparkling champagne. There’s also a Christmas Fair from 14th to 17th November and carol performances on select dates.

Knole – A Christmas Frost

From 23 November to 23 December, Knole is transformed with glittering silver decorations inspired by its famous silver collection. Towering trees and frosted displays adorn the historic showrooms, offering a truly magical atmosphere. Families can enjoy a winter trail through the parkland, and there are creative workshops for making festive wreaths and decorations. The site also features choirs performing traditional carols on select weekends.

Scotney Castle – Curtain Up Christmas

Scotney Castle’s mansion will be decorated for a festive celebration of theatre, pantomime, and the performing arts from 23 November to 5 January. Themed rooms highlight the Hussey family’s love of the stage, featuring costumes and props from Scotney’s collection. The exterior will be illuminated for twilight openings in December, and families can enjoy a Christmas trail through the gardens. Be sure to visit the tea room for seasonal treats and gifts.

Quebec House – A Georgian Christmas

Quebec House is hosting a Georgian-themed Christmas celebration on weekends from 22 November to 22 December. The house will be filled with traditional Georgian decorations, including a show-stopping feast featuring a gingerbread house, Twelfth Cake, and jellied fruits. Visitors can enjoy parlour games, roaring fires, and festive bakes in the kitchen, with hot chocolate and mince pies in the Coach House. On 28 November, Quebec House will open for an after-hours festive event.

Sissinghurst Castle Garden – An Elizabethan Christmas

Sissinghurst Castle Garden, one of England’s most famous gardens, will host an Elizabethan Christmas from 18 November to 5 January. Festive displays and trees will fill the gardens, while the archways and Elizabethan tower will be adorned with stunning floral installations. Visitors can also take part in wreath-making workshops using natural materials from the estate and explore the family-friendly trails and play tents.
