Easter is the perfect time for spending some family time outdoors, with its warm weather and beautiful spring flowers, there's no better time of year to explore. We at Visit Kent want to help and give your family the perfect family fun Easter holiday, with fun days out, to indoor attractions and exhibitions, we're sure there's something for everyone to do here in Kent, this Easter.

Broadstairs Easter Food Festival

From April 16th to the 18th Broadstairs food festival will be returning in celebration of Easter. This festival will feature locally produced food from all over Kent. There will also be live music as well to keep you entertained while you eat. The festival will take place in the Victoria gardens from Saturday the 6th to Monday the 18th. 

Easter Fun at The Hop Farm

From the 2nd to the 18th of April come and explore the magical Hop Fam family park. With so much to do here, there will be something for everyone, with an outdoor adventure play park and crazy golf, kids are sure to enjoy this. Children can also get up close with the farms animals such as donkeys and alpacas and much more! The Hop Farm are also offering special event days where children can meet special TV characters too.

The Hop Farm are also offering the chance for visitors to meet their spring lambs and their piglets who are expected to arrive later this month.

Lullingstone Castle Easter Egg Quiz

Lullingstone Castle and The World Garden kicks off its season with family fun with their Easter Trail & Quiz. Aspiring plant hunters will be able to scour The World Garden and Grounds for Easter clues and then report on their discoveries to claim an egg-tastic surprise, plus the chance to meet some Easter characters! Plus children under 16 go free!

Belmont House Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday the 17th of April, Belmont House invite you for some Easter fun. Explore the gardens and search for Easter eggs in their Easter egg hunt to win a chocolate treat, then head to the Orangery to get creative with their Easter themed activities.

£5.00 per child and £2.50 per adult. Tickets must be booked in advance.

Easter Adventure Quest at Walmer Castle

From Saturday the 2nd of April to Sunday the 24th, Walmer Castle invites you to take part in a cracking adventure quest this Easter holiday. Explore the site to hunt for clues and challenges, and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race. Track down the Easter eggs and you’ll be rewarded with a chocolate treat and an adventurer’s certificate.

You can take on the quest every day of the school holidays. With eggs, chocolate and old-fashioned fun, it’s the perfect way to get out and about in history this Easter.

The quest costs £1.50 in addition to site entrance fee

Easter Adventure Quest at Dover Castle

The Easter adventure quest is coming to Dover Castle on the 2nd of April to the 24th. Children can enjoy some Easter fun at Dover Castle, with their Easter adventure quest featuring traditional Easter games, Easter egg hunts and prizes!

Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway Station

Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway Station will be offering an Easter egg hunt on Sunday the 17th of April for kids. Make sure you grab a form from the gate to take part and win chocolate treats  for finding hidden eggs.

During the Easter week Bredgar and Wormshill light Railway Station will be having "Diesel Days" a chance to ride in a traditional passenger carriage pulled along by a smart diesel engine, the 15 minute journey will travel through the parkland and woodland to the end station and back.

Easter Egg Hunts at Ightham Mote

Ightham Mote are hosting their own Easter egg hunt from Saturday the 2nd of April, the price of the trail is £3 and includes a chocolate prize at the end.

Meet the Easter Bunny at Reuthe's

Children can meet the Easter Bunny in Betsy's grotto at Reuthe's, the lost garden of Sevenoaks. Children can also enjoy an Easter egg hunt and earn prizes for their hard work. While you're here you can also explore the gardens and enjoy hot food and drink from the cafe.

Canterbury Cathedral's Easter Trail

Canterbury Cathedral are offering an Easter trail for children, follow the clues and answer the questions as you explore Canterbury Cathedral's Precincts and claim a Cadbury's creme egg or a packet of Haribos at the end in their fun family event! The trail runs during cathedral opening times and cathedral entrance fees apply- remember Kids Go Free until October 31st!

From the 2nd of April until the 16th, the Guildhall Museum are offering an Easter Chick Trail, with spring and Easter around the corner, this will be the perfect way to kick off the Easter holidays as you look for all the hidden spring chicks! Each trail will be £1 plus admission fee.

Bouncing Bunnies Easter Trail at Quex Activity Centre

Follow the Bouncing Bunnies Trail through the Adventure Woods, collecting eggs and completing the ‘Easter Bunnies Challenge’ along the way. You’ll have a chance to meet the lovely lambs, and meet friendly characters and visit the daffodil patch where a treat may await between the plants. Once you’ve collected your eggs and completed your challenge, you’ll bounce your way to The Easter Bunnies Chocolate Factory to select your Easter treat.

All Easter tickets include access to the Field of Fun including the Bouncing Pillows, Toddler Village and Furry Friends.

Canoe Wild

This Easter half term, bring your children along to the young paddlers sessions where they will have a chance to learn how to paddleboard and kayak at only £15 a session. They will not only have fun and meet new friends but be safe on the water whilst learning new and unforgettable skills.

Battle of Britain Memorial

The Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne combines fun with learning in a way that appeals to children of all ages. While the clifftop Memorial is a unique place of remembrance, The Scramble Experience in The Wing is a hands-on, high-tech introduction to the air battle that changed history by keeping this country safe from invasion. While the youngsters enjoy the hands-on attractions, including the chance to shoot down enemy aircraft from a mock-up Hurricane cockpit in a family friendly video challenge, older children and adults can delve into the detail of the battle using modern touch screen technology.

Chiddingstone Castle Easter Events

From April 3rd, Chiddingstone Castle welcomes you back to this historic house and the fascinating collections of Japanese, Stuart and Jacobite, Ancient Egyptian, and Buddhist art and artefacts. There is also a delightful Tea Room and well-stocked Gift Shop for visitors. They also have a walking theatre showing 3 different Easter themed performances too!

Wild Classrooms in Kent

Wild Classroom offers cooking classes all over Kent. During the Easter week they have classes at Belmont House and Reculver that are perfect for little chefs. Their classes use locally grown produce, and have top chefs to help you and your little ones learn to cook.

Three Little Pigs at The Avenue Theatre Sittingbourne

From the 5th until the 9th of April, the Avenue Theatre in Sittingbourne will be showing The Three Little Pigs. This one hour long musical is sure to make your little ones laugh! The Three Little Pigs promises to be the perfect family treat this Easter, suitable for all ages from three upwards! They also offer a relaxed performance too, where house lights will remain on and auditorium doors will remain open.

Elmley Nature Reserve For Easter

Elmley is the only family owned and managed National Nature Reserve in the UK. Located in North Kent, on the Isle of Sheppey, Elmley offers visitors of all ages the chance to connect and engage with nature, whether they are there for the day, or staying overnight. With breathtaking views across the grazing marshes, and the Swale to the south, the 3,300 acre estate is the perfect place for a family day out during the Easter holidays.

Easter at Folkestone

During the Easter week, there is plenty of things to do for everyone! Head to Block 67 Family Studio where during the workshop, you will experiment with shapes, learn the basics of building a durable useful shape and play with handle design and textures.

The Reconnect Workshops are half-day workshops which are suitable for children and young people with sensory sensitivities, anxiety and children that benefit from sessions with fewer participants and more support. In two Reconnect workshops, young people will create an online platform game. Younger children will enjoy entering Slug and Caterpillar’s world and sit in a giant garden to SQUISH, SQUELCH and PLAY your way through this hilarious, surreal show for 2-5 years and their families, told with a handful of words and lots of SLIME.
