We were thrilled to have partnered with Shu (@dejashu) to celebrate our prestigious accolade as Lonely Planet’s fourth ‘Best in Travel’ region for 2022 by inviting Shu down from London to visit Whitstable and Canterbury for three days of exploring our wonderful heritage coastline and surrounding areas. For this trip, we worked with Shepherd Neame to highlight their creative Whitstable Bay Art Trail and show off the incredible history, art, food, beaches and views Whitstable and Canterbury has to offer.

And the influencer trips as part of our Lonely Planet activity don't stop there…That’s right, we teamed up with Chloe (@wanderlustchloe) and Macca (@anadventurousworld) with our friends Battle of Britain Memorial to explore the stunning memorial of the historic Battle of Britain that took place on Kent’s Heritage Coast. With sweeping coastal views, interactive ‘scramble experience’ and a beautifully designed site, you can just imagine the amazing content they captured!

@wanderlustchloe
So as you've just read, our friend Chloe (@wanderlustchloe) had a wonderful visit to the Battle of Britain Memorial, but we couldn't just end her trip there! Because whilst in Folkestone, it's an absolute must that you need to visit the Folkestone Harbour Arm and of course the Creative Quarter and if you've never been, then you need to check out Chloe's content to see why! From stunning artwork, vibrant colours and delicious food, Chloe really did capture all that Folkestone has to offer!

Looking to find your pace of life? Whether you’re a visitor, a student, a relocator or looking to set up a business, we often say the bog-standard line, ‘there’s something for everyone in Kent’, and it’s true! Here’s where Georgina (@georginaa) came in to showcase her Rhythm of Kent to her lovely audience. Georgina is a Kent resident and created some wonderful content of her fave places to go after work, such as taking to the waters with her pooch at Canoe Wild and hiking through the North Downs Way. She loves the outdoors and countryside and of course Kent had lots of places for her and her pups to go!

We’re taking you to West Kent now to show you the pace of life of Brock & Betty. Our friends over at Balfour Winery were delighted to welcome them for their first Wine Garden of England experience, which as you can imagine was the perfect setting to create scenic content for their audience. After touring the vineyard, the couple headed to Leeds Castle, an enchanting and elegant establishment with an enigmatic history, perfect for capturing some amazing drone footage. Don’t believe us? See for yourself…

Now when you come to Kent, you’re open to a wide range of experiences that will make your trip one to remember, so to highlight all the wonderful things to experience off-season, we collaborated with Victoria (@onceuponatravellust) to come over to Canterbury and Folkestone to capture beautiful content in the form of static imagery and reels. From spending the night at the Shepherd Neame pub, The Miller’s Arms, to catching a Southeastern train to Folkestone for a famous pastry at the Harbour Coffee Co at Folkestone Harbour Arm…it’s all there in her wonderful content…

@tillythecuriousexplorer
Like we just said, Kent has certainly got fab experiences down to a T, so we couldn’t not mention the collaboration we did with Tilly (@tillythecuriousexplorer) at the start of 2023 to showcase the wonderful offering of Ashford and Tunbridge Wells. For the first of this two-part trip, Tilly headed to Nightingale Cider in Ashford to experience their annual Wassailing. With live music, food, drink, and a fantastic atmosphere, there’s no doubt in saying this was an experience to remember!
Next up, it was time for Tilly to go to Tunbridge Wells to take part in a Tansy in the Wild Forest Bathing experience in Bedgebury Pinetum. Now this is most-definitely one for those who love to connect with nature and practice mindfulness.

There’s more to experience in Kent? There sure is! Laura (teaandbiscuits_x) took part in the third trip for our YouKentExperience activity and headed to Gravesham and Medway. After exploring the local area in Gravesend and visiting Gravesend’s Riverside heritage area Laura and her family boarded the LV21, a historic, 40 metre steel-hulled lightship transformed into a floating art space and performance facility, a must-visit for when your next in Gravesend! But the trip didn’t end there. Next up was a visit to marvelous Medway, where of course they had to visit the amazing Rochester Castle!
