Across the county we’ve got some amazing upcoming events that are not to be missed throughout the winter season. So, before the clock strikes midnight on New Years Eve, let’s see where we can catch a play or two, or sing and dance the night away at a wonderful music event here in Kent.
As there’s so much going on, it would be rude to miss out those events you can catch in the New Year. So be sure to get your pencil and diaries at the ready to mark in some important dates.
Canterbury Cathedral Events Programme
Canterbury Cathedral are gifting you with a magical guide this Christmas, full of exciting events and family activities for you to take part in before the New Year. From free events throughout December including music and family craft activities, to free exhibitions and tours.
On November 10th there will be a special War Horse Concert with music and songs from the National Theatre production, as Michael Morpurgo retells an abridged version of War Horse accompanied by Ben Murray.
What else is on in Canterbury?
Canterbury has got it all going on over the next couple of months, with some amazing events lined-up in the city. Gulbenkian Arts Centre has some great live events coming up, from powerful productions to comedy shows and more! Speaking of productions, we couldn’t forget about the Marlowe Theatre and all there is to see before the New Year. Expect to find more comedy shows, tributes, and of course the popular pantomime that we all love to see around Christmas.
We’re stepping out of the city and heading for the Kings Hall in Herne Bay to see what’s on. From 80s night to all things Christmas, and that’s before the New Year has even begun!

What's on in Thanet?
There’s plenty going on in Thanet over the next couple of months with live music taking over the towns! From Ramsgate Music Hall with a great line up of performances to music nights in Margate at WhereElse and The Albion Room. Olby's Creative Hub is another fabulous venue in Margate that brings the community together through collaboration and creativity, as well as Rosslyn Court, where you can experience live music and workshops.
Dreamland
It’s the place we all know and love, and the place sure to put on a show! Dreamland has lots going on over the next couple of months with amazing performers set to take the stage. Fancy a bit of funk and soul? Or perhaps you’re looking to get in the Christmas spirit with Martin Kemp’s Back to the 80s Christmas Party? Whatever you go for, you’re know you’re in for a good time at Dreamland.
Upcoming Events at Bridgewood Manor
Bridgewood Manor are bringing all the fun this month with three amazing events that’ll have you party people up on your feet and dancing the night away! The tribute acts have arrived, and we wonder if you can guess which performer is making his appearance at this time of year… Bublé of course! An amazing Jersy Boys Tribute night is also coming to the Manor and so is a Mince Pies, Mystery & Murder night!
Central Theatre Chatham
We’re sure you can fit in a show before the New Year, after all it’s a tradition to head to the theatre at Christmas! Whether you’re looking to treat the family for Christmas or head out for dinner and a show with a loved one, The Central Theatre in Chatham is shining down its spotlight on plenty of productions for you to see.
