The atmospheric Oare Marshes are an important habitat for overwintering and breeding wetland birds, and are of international significance. Discover how the resident cattle are helping to create habitats for a wide range of species, and the benefits of the reserve’s mix of grazing marsh, reedbed and saltmarsh. You’ll hear Oare’s past as part of the gunpowder industry as you spot the remains of buildings and boats, and consider its future as you see evidence of the impact rising sea levels are having on the reserve.
Look out for special sunset safaris throughout the year to enjoy your tour with a spectacular backdrop!
